MESSAGE FROM DR. ALEXANDER

Techie Summer 2015 Bulletin #1

"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more you learn, the more places you'll go."
                                                                                                        Dr. Seuss

Greetings to All,
This is what is expected of each of you.  That you will read, know, learn and go on to more reading, knowing and learning.
It appears that you are addressing your summer assignments early.  Some of you have had difficulty accessing online resources and you have reached out to us.  Some have visited to receive a hard copy of an assignment or to borrow a textbook.  We are always glad to hear from you and we are willing to assist in any way possible.  Please reach out if you are having difficulties or have questions.  We want you to be as prepared as possible for September.
In addition to your summer assignments, Techies are staying busy by participating in programs such as Rutgers Future Scholars; Project SEED; CURE and CREHST at the Cancer Institute of New Jersey; ODASIS; the Civic League's Summer Institutes; Upward Bound; summer enrichment courses; and, several others.  Techies are also working, volunteering, and making a difference throughout our community in so many different ways.
Being mindful of our overall health, we must not forget the benefits of enjoying some much needed down time.  Sharing relaxing moments and fun activities with family and friends greatly contribute to replenishing our physical and mental energy levels.  Take time out from your electronic gadgets and just enjoy the pleasures of walking, talking, laughing, crying, playing, and just being yourself with family and friends.
Enjoy!
