MESSAGE FROM DR. ALEXANDER

2014 SUMMER BULLETIN #2

Hello to All,
We have been busy making preparations for your arrival and we look forward to seeing you soon.
You will receive a mailing during the week of August 25th that includes a number of very important items.  Parents and students are asked to complete these forms together as many require your signatures.  In addition to a welcome letter, Title I information, your schedule, the district calendar, and the dress code, The Parent Climate Survey is enclosed.  Parents were asked to complete this document last Spring, however, for those who have not, we ask again that you take time to complete and return the survey.  The survey is also available on the district website if you prefer to complete it online.
Students in grades 10-12 are once again required to confirm their residency.  Please bring two (2) forms of documentation with you when you return to school.
Signatures are needed on the Authorized Use Agreement.  Students must have this signed form on file prior to being allowed access to district technology.  The Media Release Form and the P.L. 2005, Chapter 266 form also require signatures.  These forms are to be submitted to your homeroom teacher on the first day of school.
For those of you who completed the summer assignments early, please be sure to review them so you are prepared to respond to the lessons on Day One. For those of you who are still completing the assignments, please invest the attention, effort and time needed to reflect above average output.
I extend a special welcome to Ms. Socha who is joining our faculty as a Music instructor.  I am sure Ms. Socha will enjoy learning that
"Techies Got Talent!"
We have a good deal of hard work ahead of us this year.  Several instructional initiatives will better prepare all of us for the PARCC, the newly implemented standardized testing instrument for grades 9 - 11.
I anticipate a great start that will create a positive momentum for the entire school year.
Hope to see you soon!

Attention Sophomores and Seniors!
